Valid USA believes we have a responsibility to be an active participant in the communities in which we operate. We are committed to providing community support through participating in local events and contributing to charitable organizations. Each year, we renew our commitment to social responsibility and work with our clients and employees to focus on events and organizations that impact lives in our local communities. We are a global organization, so we think globally and act locally.
Below are some of the events we have taken an active role in participating with and have made a difference in our communities.
December, 2016 – As part of our annual holiday card program, Valid USA contributed $2,000 on behalf of our clients to the American Cancer Society.
VALID USA SPONSORS A HERO’S WISH PROGRAM
Valid USA recently partnered with Vet Tix, an organization that links companies to Services Members (Active & Retired) who want to participate in their Hero’s Wish Program. Our California Data Solutions office raised funds for SSgt. Scott Heninger, who recently returned from a lengthy deployment, and his family to spend 3-days at Disneyland.
Valid USA and our employees are proud to be a sponsor for Vet Tix and able to give back to our Military. We are committed to providing community support through participating in local events and contributing to charitable organizations.
The following is the thank you message Scott posted on VetTix.org, but little does he know we’re the ones that thank him every day for his service.
“I just wanted to say a big Thank You to all that made my “family’s wish” come true. It was an amazing adventure that we were able to make lasting memories on. All three days at the park were filled with a lot of giggles and smiles from my daughter, which made this vacation the best for my wife and myself. It is a time we will all remember for years to come. Again a big Thank You to all donors and to Vet Tix for making this all happen!” – Scott Heninger
THE WURST PARTY EVER AND TEED-OFF AT CANCER GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Valid USA Mobile team attended “The Wurst Party Ever and Teed-off Golf Tournament” promoted by Teed-off at Cancer foundation (http://teedoffatcancersa.com/). One of the largest charity golf event in San Antonio whose sole purpose is to raise funds to help children with cancer. In the past the foundation has donated all proceeds to the American Cancer Society, CTRC and Wings. For the seventh year in a row, it is proudly associated with the Children´s Hospital of San Antonio.
This project was created by Tom (T-Bone) and Jana Bounds back in 1998 as a way to give back and help children fight cancer, after a tough battle that was successfully won by Jana Bounds. A group of golfers were put together to launch the first “TEED OFF AT CANCER” golf tournament. This group has grown to include not only friends, but business acquaintances and supporters every year. Tom Bounds joined the Valid team in 2013 as an Account Manager for Mobile Solutions clients, which has afforded Valid the opportunity to became one of the sponsors and participants in this event since 2014. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be a contributor to such a noble cause and spend time with our customers outside of the day to day business.
There is a themed party and auction held the night before the golf tournament kicks off. Last year the party had a Halloween Costume theme, which included dinner, Casino’s, and a Live/Silent Auction with Entertainment. This year’s theme was “Oktoberfest,” dirndls and lederhosen were encouraged!! This year’s event was a huge success!! “TEED OFF AT CANCER” generated over $500,000!

Let’s cheer Cathi on and donate to help fight Cancer!
Swim Across America, Inc. (SAA) is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming related events. In 2015, the organization raised over $6 million for cancer research, prevention and treatment. Since its inception in 1987, SAA has raised over $65 million through 15 open water swimming fundraising events and over 100 pool swim fundraisers.
Cathi McNamara has been involved with Swim Across America–Chicago for the past 22 years. She started as a volunteer, but has participated in the swimming event, doing various distances, for the past 20 years and is a past committee member. This year Cathi will be swimming the 3-mile distance. Cathi’s parents, brothers, sisters, and cousins have also been involved with SAA for many years. They have all been involved with swimming since childhood, but are particularly dedicated to this event in memory of Cathi’s grandfather who died of brain cancer. Over the years she has made many friends through this event and also does her best to recruit family and friends to participate.

Because of you…The AAMVA Region I community has helped to provide 13,713 meals! As Chair of the Vermont Charity Event Committee, I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to witness the tremendous difference you are making in the lives of so many in need by giving so generously to this event. In addition to Valid USA supporting our local communities, we also like to partner with our clients and their philanthropic efforts.
In April 2016, we will contribute $25,000 to “Bank of America Small and Diverse Business Education Fund, A Scholarship Fund of Communities Foundation of Texas”.
This is a grant-based program designed to provide targeted training and development success to qualified, certified small and diverse business owners.
Valid USA is pleased to join Bank of America in this endeavor.
December, 2015 – As part of our annual holiday card program, Valid USA contributed $1,500 on behalf of our clients to the American Cancer Society.
REUSE BEFORE RECYCLING
October 5, 2015 – In hopes of reusing an item before it’s ultimately recycled, Valid USA reached out to local school districts and donated nearly $1,000 in poster board materials to DuPage County School District 45. During our manufacturing processes we accumulate high quality poster board materials previously sent straight to recycling. But now we have partnered with local schools so they can reuse our excess manufacturing materials before they recycle them. Superintendent Anthony Palmisano, DuPage County School District 45, accepted a donation from Valid USA of white poster board materials to be used at York Center, Ardmore, and Stevenson Elementary Schools.
For many of us, it’s hard to imagine the pressure some families have to go through in deciding whether to buy medicine or put food on the table. It happens all too often.
West Suburban Community Pantry serves families in the Downers Grove, Lisle, and surrounding neighborhoods. The food pantry provides eggs, milk, cheese, produce, frozen meat, non-perishable foods and personal care items to an average of 9,868 individuals including 4,101 children and 650 senior citizens throughout the year. These items are donated by individuals, local businesses, and food service companies/restaurants.
During September, donation bins have been placed at our facilities, so our Associates can donate non-perishable food/or personal care items to help individuals/families in our community.
Monetary donations are also being collected and Valid will match up to $1,000.
Just $360 can buy one ton of food, which is:
2,000 cans of soup or vegetables
Or 2,000 boxes of cereal
Or 2,000 pounds of cheese
Or 1,333 jars of spaghetti sauce
Valid Associates are doing their part to help our communities!
In September 2015, Valid USA raised enough to contribute over 6 tons of food to the pantry…that’s over 12,000 pounds of food for our community!

Light The Night is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s nationwide evening fundraising walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Nationally in 2014, LLS’s Light The Night Walk campaign raised more than $55 million nationally and nearly $900,000 in Indiana to support the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
3-year old Evan Conner, son of Joe Conner (a Valid USA Associate), started his battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April 2014. Evan is the 2015 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Boy of the Year. He is currently going through a 3.5 year chemotherapy protocol. Evan loves bulls, buffalos, elephants and rhinos. So Evan, his parents, and numerous Valid USA Associates are joining in stampeding out Leukemia.
